Come and admire the quiet lake landscape of Mandello del Lario with its small ports, beaches, porticos, lakeside promenades and mountains all around!

There is nothing better than a day at Lake Como to find peace and quiet, a boat trip to admire the beautiful villas overlooking the lake, a walk in the mountains while enjoying the nature that surrounds us.

Bellano and all the towns on the eastern shore of the lake are easily accessible by the regular train service on the Milan-Tirano line.

What to do in the warmer season

In the spring and summer months it is beautiful to laze on a quiet beach, or even better on a sailboat enjoying an amazing scenery and the lake breezes. The service of navigation of Lake Como is active from April to October, the wharf is just a few steps from "Mamma Ciccia" and by boat you can easily go to the city of Lecco and the main tourist destinations such as Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio and even Como.

From the outlying villages of Mandello del Lario, you can also take the main paths up to the famous Grigne, a favourite place for climbers and mountain enthusiasts from all over Europe.

What to do in the cold season

A weekend at the lake can also be revitalising in autumn or winter. The fireplaces and good food invite you to relax and admire the beauty of our lake. The main ski resorts of Lombardy can be reached quickly by car, as well as the spa areas of Bormio (Sondrio) or San Pellegrino (Bergamo).

Let's not forget a stop at the famous Moto Guzzi Museum or a visit to the places in Lecco mentioned by Alessandro Manzoni in his famous novel "I Promessi Sposi" (The Betrothed); or, again on a literary theme, why not go and discover the town of Bellano and walk around the corners of the village described by the contemporary writer Andrea Vitali?
